Early Bird tickets Stephen Gilligan

Breaking News! On the 20th and 21th of October 2017 Stephen Gilligan will visit Gezond Denken _ Doen and offer us the 2-day training “Generative Trance”. We have until april 30th an “early bird” special price: 225 euro for members and 300 euros for invites. After that the event reverts to the normal price: 300 euro for members and 375 euros for invites.

This course focuses on Dr. Stephen Gilligan’s generative trance work as a way to deeply awaken creativity—in reaching goals, transforming problems, being “in love” with your life, and opening the imagination. The course is practical, stimulating, deeply experiential, and transformative. There will be many demonstrations, group trances, and practicing with partners. You will learn new ways to help yourself and others to live a successful and fulfilling life, to release long-standing limitations, and to move through each day with wonderment, awareness, and connection. It is based on Dr. Gilligan’s 40 years of experience in hypnosis, trance, meditation, martial arts, and creative change work. It is original, practical, transformative, and lots of fun. We hope you will join us!

Generative trance is not the traditional trance where the conscious mind is “put to sleep” and the unconscious is programmed with external suggestions.  A core underlying idea is that creativity is a conversation between two worlds—the “dreamer” or “visionary” world of the creative unconscious, and the “realist” and “practical” world of the conscious mind.  Each requires and completes the other, and generative trance helps you to forge the integrated consciousness that  “includes yet transcends” both minds.

In this course, you will learn how, why, and when to use generative trance to create change in the three general life areas: professional (work) life, personal relationships (intimacy, family, friends), and self-relationship (body image, emotional history, “negative parts”).  We will see how reality is constructed through mind/body maps, and how in generative trance these identity maps can be safely accessed, updated, transformed, or created anew. This changes the unconscious “blueprint” that guides a person in living their life.

The practical path for making such changes is provided by the 5-step model of generative trance.  The first step opens a creative space (I am safe, I am positively connected, I am here). The second step sets intention (There’s something I want to create….), and welcomes the central ingredients of a generative trance—goals, resources, obstacles, beliefs, etc.  The third step stirs these ingredients to form a generative trance (I open into a special learning field…).  In the fourth step,  transformational changes are developed (I create positive changes).  And in the final step, these trance learnings are applied into real life (I can live these changes into the world.)

In learning each of these steps, you are discovering how to carefully and effectively make deep changes in people’s lives.  Please join us!

Board Change

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place following the first IEMT trainingday on 25th of March. This time, it is a special AGM, since there is a board change at which the entire board resigns.

Ron van der Putten and Saskia Klaaysen step down statutory and seek re-election. Ferry Onderwater steps down statutory and is not to be re-elected. Meike Breedveld resigns because of an upcoming move abroad.

In the recent months Anita Winchester was found willing to lend a hand. Anita is eligible for a board position. We therefore still seek at least one more new member on the board, preferably in the role of treasurer. Meike will help you with that after the board change.

If you would like to know more about a role in the board, please contact Meike.

Coordinator Practice Days wanted

For some time the practice days are organized by Klazien Teeuwissen-Verboom and Thea de Groen. This year they put together a great program, with the next practice day on Monday, February 27th. This day includes an EFT workshop, organized by Cella van der Staak.

Klazien has decided to stop the coordination of the practise days. We are therefore looking for a member who wants to take over this role. Want to know what this means? Please contact Meike.

Practice Day Vleuten

On 27th of February 2017 there will be another practice day for our members. This time we have in the morning a workshop on “NLP and EFT” Cella van der Staak. After lunch we planned to practice NLP interventions, and there is plenty of room for own contribution.

Emotional Freedom Technique is a relatively young healing technique based on the old health science from the east. EFT is a combination of cognitive therapy in the form of NLP (appointing questions out loud) and acupressure (the form of acupuncture, in which needles are not used).

In the afternoon we can practice PCW from Nick Kemp, MOM from Andrew Austin or the stances of Virginia Satir, as we have learned from Romina Schell. For members who could not attend these trainings, let yourself be inspired.
